Broncos’ Derek Wolfe proving there’s still plenty left in the tank at “old” age of 29 (Kyle Newman, The Denver Post)

“You know, (the critics) were like, ‘Oh, maybe he’s getting old,’ this and that,” Wolfe recalled. “My response was like, ‘Eh, I’m not even 30 years old yet, so, that’s not very old. We’ll see.”

Brandon Allen has a chance to create problems for the Broncos’ decision makers (Nicki Jhabvala, The Athletic)

In short: Allen has a chance to become a troublemaker in Denver, and that’s not a bad thing.

“Sure, I think playing well does that,” he said. “Obviously, I want to play well. I want to win.”

Allen, who was claimed off waivers a week before the season opener, became just the fifth player since the 1970 NFL merger to throw multiple touchdowns, have zero interceptions and post a quarterback rating of at least 125 in his first start, leading the Broncos to a win over the Browns.

Broncos linebacker Von Miller feels 'rejuvenated' after bye week (Troy Renck, KMGH)

"It feels good coming off the bye week with a win. I know my teammates feel rejuvenated. I know I feel rejuvenated," Miller told Denver7 earlier this week. "I have been close to a lot of sacks. So I just want to get some of those in, continue to play hard, and amp that up a little bit more."

Lock's recovery time proves valuable as rookie quarterback looks 'a little bit better' in return to practice (Aric DiLalla, DenverBroncos.com)

“I think the time off in some ways — although you never want it — helped him,” Fangio said. “I think he learned a lot, whereas when he was going through it in the spring and in training camp before he got hurt, it was piling up on him I think. Besides learning the new offense and being under center — which he had never done in college — etc., all those things were piling up on him and getting in the way of progressing the way you’d like to see him progress. I think through his time off, he’s been able to solve some of those issues emotionally and mentally.”
