The Cardinals added to depth on the defensive line Monday by bringing back a familiar face in Xavier Williams.

To make room, the Cards cut linebacker Shareef Miller.

Williams signed a one-year deal.

Williams played 23 games for the Cardinals from 2015-2017 after signing as an undrafted free agent. He left as a free agent to sign with the Chiefs in 2018, playing there the next two seasons and winning a Super Bowl ring. He played with the Patriots and Bengals in 2020, appearing in 12 games total.

In his career, Williams has played in 56 games, with 107 tackles, four sacks, four tackles for loss and three forced fumbles.
