Free agency has slowed, but the Cardinals did make a signing Monday to help with depth, adding cornerback Josh Shaw on a one-year deal.

Shaw, a one-time fourth-round pick of the Bengals, was with the Chiefs and Buccaneers in 2018, appearing in four games with each and totaling 12 tackles.

In his three previous seasons with the Bengals, the 26-year-old Shaw started 14 of his 47 games working as both a cornerback and a safety. He has one career interception.

The Cardinals are working to figure out their secondary depth behind the starters, as well as find a potential nickel player. Patrick Peterson and Robert Alford are slotted as starting cornerbacks, with Budda Baker and D.J. Swearinger as the starting safeties.

Joining Shaw as the other cornerbacks are David Amerson, Brandon Williams, Jonathan Moxey, Deatrick Nichols and Chris Jones. The other safeties include Rudy Ford and Jonathan Owens.
