'They've come with the right attitude': HC Vic Fangio weighs in on start to virtual offseason program

Offensively, the Broncos are guided by new Offensive Coordinator Pat Shurmur, who is working to install a new scheme.


"Obviously with a new offensive system going in, the offensive players were anxious and ready to go to start learning the terminology and the plays, formations, etc, — everything that goes into that," Fangio said. "The offensive guys were particularly excited for it."


On the other side of the ball, Fangio and Defensive Coordinator Ed Donatell will look to help their unit take another step in 2020 after finishing with a top 10 defense last season.


"The defensive guys are getting a nice review," Fangio said, "and they're able to watch themselves on cutups from last season executing some of the things that will carry over into this next season from our defense."


The Broncos will continue to meet virtually through at least next week. The NFL and NFLPA will then reconvene to decide on a plan for the rest of the offseason.


Through the first several days, though, the Broncos have seemingly made the most of an unusual scenario.
