Bears announce preseason broadcast team

Amin, who is from Addison, Ill., joined ESPN as a play-by-play commentator in 2011 at age 24, becoming one of the network’s youngest ever game-callers. He calls numerous sports and events including college football, the NBA playoffs, Major League Baseball, the Women's Final Four, the Women’s College World Series, the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, and serves as ESPN Radio’s lead announcer for NFL games. Along with a national portfolio, he also calls select Chicago Bulls broadcasts on NBC Sports Chicago. Prior to joining ESPN, Amin handled play-by-play, hosting and reporting tasks for Turner Sports Digital/NCAA Productions, FOX Sports Wisconsin, the Illinois High School Association and the Horizon League Network. Amin graduated with a degree in television and radio from Valparaiso University where he was twice named Indiana Collegiate Sportscaster of the Year by the state association of broadcasters and was a finalist for the Jim Nantz Award in 2009.


Brandt is currently a host on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football.” Prior to joining NFL Network, the Lincolnshire native was a producer and writer for “The Jim Rome Show” and “Jim Rome on Showtime,” in addition to hosting a weekly segment on “Rome.” In 2001, Brandt was cast as a member of MTV’s “The Real World: Chicago,” which was followed by a three-year career on “Days of Our Lives.” From 1998-2001, Brandt attended Princeton University, where he was also a running back and kick returner. The Stevenson High School alumnus was a three-time All-Conference running back during his high school career and was the team’s “Big Gun Award” winner in 1997, which is an award voted on by teammates that recognizes the most valuable varsity player. He also recently hosted the Orange Carpet at the 24th annual Bears Care Gala at Soldier Field.


Miller has been part of the Bears preseason broadcast team since 2012. The former Bears quarterback also co-hosts the Bears All Access radio show on WSCR, along with “Movin’ the Chains” on SiriusXM NFL Radio. A Michigan native, Miller served as the color commentator for Michigan State football radio broadcasts until he joined the Bears broadcast team. Prior to his broadcast career, Miller played for Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, Tampa Bay, New England and New York. During his tenure with the Bears, the sixth-round draft pick helped lead Chicago to a playoff berth in 2001.


A FOX Sports football studio analyst since 2014, Wannstedt is a 39-year veteran of the collegiate and professional coaching ranks and appears on FOX NFL KICKOFF Sunday mornings during the NFL season. A three-year starter and team captain at offensive tackle for the University of Pittsburgh, Wannstedt was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the 1974 NFL Draft. He spent the 1974 season on the club’s practice squad before retiring to pursue a career in coaching. In doing so, he returned to his alma mater to accept a graduate assistant position before the 1975 season. Wannstedt went on to coach at Oklahoma State, Southern California and the University of Miami, before becoming a defensive coordinator with the Dallas Cowboys (1989-92); the 1992 squad posted a 13-3 regular-season record and went on to win Super Bowl XXVII by a 52-17 margin, aided by a defense that forced a Super Bowl-record nine turnovers. In 1993, he became the head coach of the Chicago Bears (1993-98) and was named NFC Coach of the Year by the UPI and “Football News” in 1994; he was also selected as Coach of the Year for the All-Madden Team. Wannstedt also coached for the Miami Dolphins (1999-2004) until he resigned in the middle of 2004 as the second-winningest head coach (.575) in franchise history behind only the legendary coach Don Shula. In 2005, Wannstedt returned to Pitt to fill the football program’s head coaching vacancy until 2010, when he returned to the NFL, serving as an assistant on staff for the Buffalo Bills (2011-12) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2013).


The radio broadcasts for all four preseason games will be on WBBM Newsradio 780 & 105.9FM with Voice of the Bears Jeff Joniak, color analyst Tom Thayer and sideline reporter Mark Grote. Hector Lozano, Omar Ramos and Carlos Mendez will call the game in Spanish for TUDN Deportes Radio 1200 AM and Latino Mix 93.5 FM.
