The Chicago Bears announced today nine of the 10 grant recipients for the Bears100 Community All-Pros initiative. Below are the nine charities selected, in addition to the three finalists for the 10th grant, which will be voted on by fans via chicagobears.com starting on Monday, Sept. 16, at 10 a.m. until Monday, Sept. 23, at 12 p.m. Each organization will receive a $100,000 grant–totaling $1 million in donations in honor of the team’s 100th season–and be recognized at a home game during the 2019 season. Local organizations were able to apply online for the grants and fans were encouraged to nominate charities they’re passionate about. Charities were reviewed/selected by an internal committee. “The Chicago area has been great to us, so we wanted to give fans the chance to help direct the $1 million in grants towards causes they’re passionate about as part of our centennial celebrations to show our appreciation,” said Chairman George H. McCaskey. “We’re looking forward to seeing the positive impact these organizations will continue to have on those they serve.”

Habitat for Humanity Chicago
Mission: The mission of Habitat for Humanity Chicago is seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

Easterseals of DuPage & Fox Valley
Mission: Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley’s mission is to enable infants, children, and adults with disabilities to achieve their maximum independence, and to provide support for the families who love and care for them.

Chicago Furniture Bank

GiGi’s Playhouse
Mission: GiGi’s Playhouse changes lives and provides hope through consistent delivery of free educational, therapeutic, and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community, through a replicable playhouse model.

Mission: To end veteran homelessness in northeast Illinois and our neighboring communities, so that no person who has defended our homes goes without a home.

Cradles to Crayons
Mission: Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. We supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities across Chicagoland.

Center for Enriched Living
Mission: The Center for Enriched Living exists so that people with developmental disabilities can be fully included in the community, achieve personal success, and enjoy a good quality of life.
