The Bears on Monday launched their 31st annual coat drive.
New and gently used coats can be donated at 188 participating Jewel-Osco locations throughout Chicagoland now through Feb. 28, 2020; a store locator is available at JewelOsco.com.
Bears Fit (155 E Townline Rd., Vernon Hills) will also accept donations. Wm. Meyers Movers will donate the bins and handle all transport logistics. All coats will benefit the Salvation Army.
“We’re into what we call our giving season and we’re looking forward to collecting as many coats as we possibly can,” said longtime Bears head equipment manager Tony Medlin, who coordinates the coat drive.
