ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Another week, another AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honor for Broncos kicker Brandon McManus.
McManus has now won the award after back-to-back games. He also earned the honor after Denver's Week 4 win over the Jets.
In the Broncos' Week 6 win over the Patriots, McManus was a perfect 6-for-6 from field-goal range and scored all 18 of the Broncos' points.
McManus now holds the Broncos' franchise record for the most field goals in a game.
Among his six field goals were a 52-yarder and 54-yarder. With those two field goals, he tied Baltimore's Justin Tucker for the most games in NFL history with multiple field goals of at least 50 yards.
McManus joins former running back Mike Anderson (Weeks 13 & 14, 2000) as the only Broncos to receive Player of the Week honors in consecutive games in a single season.
McManus is also only the seventh Bronco to win Player of the Week honors at least twice in the same year. Only Terrell Davis (four selections in 1998) and Peyton Manning (three selections, 2013) have won Player of the Week honors more often in a season in franchise history.
