Assuming they stay here, Bush would be a good pick. A potentially really good one. But I have Bush as my No. 8 overall prospect, and he’s a near clone – just a hair below – of the player Vic Fangio landed in Chicago last year in Roquan Smith, who was excellent as a rookie. The Broncos will think long and hard about quarterback if they stay here, but it's hard to ignore the best tight end in the draft with his stock rising to this range. Hockenson looks like the next great all-around player at the position with his hands, physicality, smarts and agility. At 6-5, 251 pounds, he lived up to his billing at the Combine. [April 24]

The Broncos acquired Joe Flacco this offseason, but he's not going to be successful if Denver doesn't give him more weapons to work with. His top options at receiver are Emmanuel Sanders, who may not be 100 percent coming off an injury, and Courtland Sutton, who was inconsistent as a rookie last year. Meanwhile, tight end is a huge question mark with Jake Butt being hurt all the time. Acquiring T.J. Hockenson would provide a big boost for Flacco's arsenal. [April 24]

Broncos president of football operations/GM John Elway probably showed what he thought of this quarterback class when he traded for Joe Flacco. And there are plenty in the league who believe Haskins wouldn't even make it to this spot once the pre-draft sandbagging stops and the actual picks are made. This is a stacked board on defense, and the Broncos probably will have a chance at one of the best defenders if they stay at 10. But in this scenario they would have to think long and hard about Haskins, who was in their complex in recent weeks as part of their pre-draft visits. He's a high-value pick at a need position and fits their offense. [April 23]

Drew Lock seems so obvious that it has to happen here, right? Maybe not. The Broncos parted ways with Brandon Marshall and Josey Jewell and Todd Davis are currently penciled in at inside linebacker. Bush, who is a fantastic athlete as evidenced by his 4.43 40 at the combine, can line up in slot to cover tight ends and shows the ability to change direction when going from rush to coverage. He's a solid tackler who has second gear when in pursuit but he's at his best when he has big bodies in front of him eating up blockers. [April 23]
