ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Andy Janovich will be clearing running lanes in Denver for years to come.
Janovich signed a three-year extension on Friday, the team announced. The deal runs through the 2022 season.
“Since he was drafted back in 2016, Andy has developed into one of the best fullbacks in the league,” President of Football Operations/General Manager John Elway said. “He’s exactly what you look for in a fullback — tough, reliable and a versatile part of not only the offense but also our special teams. It’s nice to see how Andy’s hard work has paid off, and we look forward to his continued impact on the Broncos.”
Largely used as a blocking fullback, Janovich has 17 career receptions for 191 yards and a touchdown. He also has carried the ball 12 times for 50 yards and two touchdowns.
The fourth-year fullback has played 34 of a possible 37 games over the last three years.
The Broncos selected Janovich in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
