ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have added a veteran right tackle with plenty of starting experience to their offensive line room.

The team signed nine-year veteran Bobby Massie to a one-year deal, the team announced Wednesday.

Massie, a fourth-round draft pick by the Cardinals in 2012, has started 110 of the 118 games in which he's appeared during his career.

The right tackle spent the last five seasons in Chicago, where he started all 64 games in which he appeared. He started at least 15 games in each season between 2016-18, and he then started 10 games in 2019. Massie started eight games in his final season in Chicago in 2020 before he suffered a season-ending knee injury in November.

Massie joins Garett Bolles, Quinn Bailey and Ryan Pope at tackle on the Broncos' active roster. Calvin Anderson is also expected to be with the team, after being tendered as an exclusive rights free agent earlier this spring.

The Broncos previously placed Ja'Wuan James on the non-football injury list, and Massie figures to be the favorite to start in James' place at right tackle.
