INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts today waived cornerback Shakial Taylor and signed cornerback Picasso Nelson Jr. to the practice squad.
Taylor, 5-11, 175 pounds, has competed in five games during his rookie season and has totaled seven tackles (six solo) and one pass defensed. He was originally signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2019.
Nelson Jr., 5-10, 193 pounds, was originally signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent on April 28, 2019 prior to being released at the start of the regular season. Nelson Jr. played in 50 games at Southern Mississippi and recorded 202 tackles (120 solo), 15 passes defensed, five interceptions and one forced fumble.
