Haason Reddick Earns Highest PFF Grade In NFL On Sunday

Haason Reddick had the best sack day in the history of the Cardinals’ franchise on Sunday against the Giants, and it was also the top individual performance in the league this week, according to Pro Football Focus.


The fourth-year outside linebacker earned an overall grade of 95.3, which easily topped Bears center Cody Whitehair (92.9), Bears edge rusher Khalil Mack (92.7) and Titans running back Derrick Henry (92.7) for the highest mark of Week 14, pending "Monday Night Football."


Reddick had five sacks and three forced fumbles against the Giants, which earned him an astounding pass-rush grade of 97.1. Reddick was credited with seven pressures on his 22 pass-rushing snaps for an elite pressure percentage of 31.8.


Reddick had three of the nine fastest sacks in the NFL this week, including one where he got to the quarterback in 2.67 seconds, per NextGenStats. He also had the highest pass-rush win rate among all edge players in the NFL in Week 14, winning his matchup 43% of the time.


Reddick's season-long Pro Football Focus grade of 70.1 is second among the Cardinals' defensive starters behind only Pro Bowl safety Budda Baker.


Other Pro Football Focus observations from the Week 14 win over the Giants:

• Outside linebacker Markus Golden was also a menace, grading out at 89.7 in New York. He was given a pass-rush grade of 92.2, which included five hurries and a sack on his 22 pass-rushing snaps.

• It's of little surprise that Reddick, Golden and Dennis Gardeck were the three highest-graded players on defense. Gardeck only played eight snaps but had a pair of sacks, finishing with an overall mark of 78.3.

• Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins led the offense with an 86.7 overall grade, as he put together a nine-catch, 136-yard performance. It was Hopkins' first time surpassing 100 yards in a game since the Hail Mary catch against Buffalo put him over the century mark in that one.

• Left tackle D.J. Humphries continues to dominate. He earned a mark of 83.6 against the Giants, with good grades in both pass- and run-blocking. He has the fifth-best PFF grade among NFL offensive tackles this season at 88.4, and he's played more snaps (926) than anyone at the position. He might not have the name recognition to make the Pro Bowl this season, but Humphries is playing like one.

• J.R. Sweezy (85.8), Justin Pugh (85.7), Lamont Gaillard (78.7) and Kelvin Beachum (70.2) all graded out nicely in pass protection. PFF thought center Mason Cole struggled, tagging him with four pressures allowed in 36 pass-blocking snaps.

• Cornerback Patrick Peterson earned a stellar 78.2 coverage grade for his work shutting down the Giants receivers. Peterson gave up only two catches for 31 yards on four targets in his 28 coverage snaps. His 77.1 overall grade was fourth-best defensively.

• The inside linebacker duo of Jordan Hicks (76.6) and De'Vondre Campbell (75.0) earned high marks. Isaiah Simmons wasn't far behind, with a 65.8 grade, including a 75.0 mark in coverage.

• Quarterback Kyler Murray was given the fourth-best PFF grade on offense with a mark of 76.5. His passing grade of 77.4 was the highest he has garnered this year.
