EAGAN, Minn. — Two Vikings defensive starters — safety Harrison Smith and defensive end Ifeadi Odenigbo — did not practice Wednesday as Minnesota (4-6) began on-field preparations for Carolina (4-7).
Smith was listed with a neck injury, and Odenigbo was listed as "shoulder/concussion."
Guards Ezra Cleveland (ankle) and Dru Samia (not injury related) also did not participate. Cleveland missed last week, and Samia on Wednesday was activated from Reserve/COVID-19.
Tight end Irv Smith, Jr., was limited with "groin/back" injuries. Tackle Brian O'Neill (shoulder) fully participated.
