EAGAN, Minn. — A Vikings defense that experienced considerable turnover in the offseason is encountering depth challenges brought by early in-season injuries.

As Minnesota (0-2) began preparing on the practice field Wednesday for Sunday's game against Tennessee (2-0), the Vikings were again without rookie Cameron Dantzler, who missed all of last week because of a rib injury.

Cornerback Mike Hughes (neck), running back Mike Boone (concussion) and linebacker Troy Dye (foot) also did not practice Wednesday.

Tackle Riley Reiff (ankle) was listed as a limited participant Wednesday.

Injuries have quickly decimated the Vikings depth at linebacker. Ben Gedeon remains on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list, and Cameron Smith is on Reserve/Non-Football Illness as he recovers from heart surgery. Anthony Barr was placed on Injured Reserve Monday.
