In 2018—after being acquired in a blockbuster trade with the Raiders—Mack was named first-team All-Pro after recording 12.5 sacks, 10 tackles-for-loss, six forced fumbles and 18 quarterback hits. His 12.5 sacks were the most by a Bears player since Hall of Famer Richard Dent also had 12.5 in 1993 and tied for the third most in franchise history behind Dent's 17.5 in 1984 and 17.0 in 1985.

Mack's 21.0 sacks are the most by a player in his first two seasons with the Bears, just ahead of Dent (20.5 in 1983-84) and Julius Peppers (19.0 in 2010-11).

This marks the sixth year that Mack has been voted among the league's top 100 players in NFL Network's poll. Last year the 6-3, 269-pounder was named the NFL's third best player behind only Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald and Saints quarterback Drew Brees.
