The Green Bay Packers have claimed LB Markus Jones off of waivers from the Baltimore Ravens and waived/injured CB Javien Hamilton. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Wednesday.

Jones, a 6-foot-3, 249-pound rookie out of Angelo State, was originally signed by the Ravens as an undrafted free agent on May 3. During his four-year collegiate career, he appeared in 45 games with 41 starts, recording 226 tackles, a school-record 37 sacks, 77.5 tackles for a loss, 11 forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and 12 blocked kicks. As a senior, Jones was named the Division II National Defensive Player of the Year and finished sixth in voting for the Harlon Hill Award (D-II equivalent of the Heisman Trophy). He will wear No. 59 for the Packers.
