At a time when local nonprofits need critical financial support, Give BIG Green Bay is back for another year. The Green Bay Packers Foundation and the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation are excited to host the fourth annual community-wide giving day from noon on Feb. 16 until noon on Feb. 17, 2021. Give BIG Green Bay will highlight the work of 40 local nonprofit organizations working to change lives in our community. Thanks to the generosity of the Green Bay Packers Foundation and other donors, this year's event will offer $350,000 in matching funds and incentives.

The combined three-year total of this unique crowd funding effort has exceeded $3.4 million of support for local nonprofits. Last February, more than $1.2 million was raised in 24 hours through the generosity of 2,800 donors. More than 43% of these donors self-identified as new to the organization they supported.

It is broadly recognized there has never been a more critical time to raise awareness for the important role nonprofits are playing in our community. Unprecedented demands are being placed on nonprofits, while their economic resources and human capital are severely constrained, putting our most vulnerable at risk. Give BIG Green Bay continues to be an innovative program that connects those who serve to needed resources.

On Feb. 16 to Feb. 17, from noon to noon, people everywhere can donate to support the work of any of the 45 local participating nonprofits by visiting giveBIGgreenbay.org. This online giving platform makes it easy to contribute any amount to make a BIG difference in Brown County. The Give BIG Green Bay team will work closely with participating nonprofits using social, print, and broadcast media to create awareness about this exciting 24-hour event. Additionally, participating nonprofits will rally their supporters to amplify the impact.

The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation will underwrite all program expenses allowing 100% of the Green Bay Packers Foundation $250,000 commitment to be allocated as matching funds and encourage our community to give BIG. Additional fundraising incentives are available this year, due to the generosity of Give BIG Green Bay supporters: Janet and Charlie Lieb, Kris and Terry Fulwiler, The Village Companies, and Associated Bank. Thanks to these funding partners, every dollar donated during the 24-hour giving day will go even further to support important work happening in the community.

"There has never been a more important time for all of us to come together as a community for a common goal. We are proud to be a part of Give BIG Green Bay, which connects people directly with impactful nonprofit agencies who are dedicated to serving the residents of Brown County," said Mark Murphy, Green Bay Packers President/CEO. "We encourage everyone to learn more about these important organizations and to donate, at any level."

A diverse cross-section of organizations serving Brown County was selected. This year, 33% of the participating nonprofits are first-time participants. The combination of experienced and new nonprofits is sure to bring a powerful energy to Give BIG Green Bay 2021.

"Green Bay is our home and we are all committed to supporting those who care so deeply for our community. The past few years are a clear indication that Give BIG Green Bay is connecting with people's desire to help.," said Dennis Buehler, President and CEO of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation. "We hope that as circumstances allow, people will join us to support local nonprofits who are on the front lines addressing some of our most pressing needs."
