Panthers sign returner Greg Dortch off Jets' practice squad

CHARLOTTE -- A day after waiving returner Ray-Ray McCloud, the Panthers have signed rookie returner/wide receiver Greg Dortch off the New York Jets' practice squad.


The speedy Dortch, listed as 5-foot-7 and 175 pounds, signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent. Dortch played collegiately at Wake Forest, where he was an All-American returner after recording two punt return touchdowns during his final season. He also posted 89 catches for 1,078 yards and eight touchdowns for the Demon Deacons in 2018.


Dortch posted eight catches for 49 yards and one touchdown during the preseason.
