CHARLOTTE - Cornerback James Bradberry (groin) missed Wednesday's practice with a groin injury. He left Sunday's game in the fourth quarter after tweaking the groin.

"James has done well. He was out there doing rehab stuff, and he was keeping his mind in it during walkthrough," head coach Ron Rivera said. "I expect him to practice this week at some point."

Defensive lineman Vernon Butler (back) did not participate in Wednesday's practice with a back injury. Fellow lineman Gerald McCoy (knee) also missed practice on Wednesday.

Offensive tackle Greg Little (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday, along with safety Eric Reid (ankle) and wideout Curtis Samuel (hamstring).

Running back Christian McCaffrey (knee) missed Wednesday's practice, but Rivera urged that it marked a new normal for McCaffrey's weekly practice routine.

Edge rusher Mario Addison returned to practice after missing last week with a death in the family.
