CHARLOTTE - Carolina will be without one defensive back on Sunday and a starter in the secondary is questionable.

Cornerback Donte Jackson (hip) went through practice reps for the first time on Friday, listed as a limited participant. His game status is questionable and he'll be monitored up until pre-game warmups. Fellow cornerback Ross Cockrell (quad) did not practice all week and will be out for Sunday's game.

Head coach Ron Rivera expressed confidence in versatile defensive back Cole Luke, who was a call-up from the practice squad last week and impressed the coaches with his performance against the Packers.

"We still have a nice comfort zone with those guys because of Cole Luke," head coach Ron Rivera said. "The thing you like about Cole is his versatility, his ability to play the corner, nickel and safety position, a la Ross Cockrell. He plays hard, he plays physical. And he didn't seem to be intimidated by anybody. He lined up against Davante Adams -- it didn't matter, he just lined up and played. I really appreciated that."

Rookie offensive tackle Dennis Daley (groin) did not practice throughout the week after suffering a groin injury last week. He is listed doubtful for Sunday's game. Daley has started at left tackle four of the last five games.

Among players that were full participants on Friday and don't have injury statuses include CB James Bradberry (groin) and OT Greg Little (concussion).

Bradberry missed last week's game at Green Bay with a groin injury. Little has not played since Week 4. With Daley doubtful, Little is expected to start at left tackle.

"He's done a nice job," Rivera said of Little. "He looked good today. Now just be sure, we've had other guys take reps at that left tackle position. But for the most part, I feel confident that if he had to play 60 plays he could play 60 plays."
