"There were some concerns with Delpit's regression this season but this would be the steal of the first round. Medicals will be important for him at the NFL Combine, but I would not be surprised if he gets healthy and rises back towards the top of the board before it is all said and done. The 49ers could lose Jimmie Ward this offseason and Delpit could step in and contribute from Day 1."

"We've typically had (Alabama safety) Xavier McKinney going to the 49ers here, but he's already off the board. Delpit, who entered the season as the top safety in this class, battled through an ankle injury and struggled to consistently make tackles. When he's on, however, he can be one of the best players on the field."

First safety off the board: Ashtyn Davis? Safeties are weird. Nobody had Darnell Savage Jr. as the first safety off the board at this time last year. Davis' best skills are those that the NFL values most highly. It's not as wild as you think.
If Davis is the best deep middle safety in the class, then he's got a great shot to go early, especially if San Francisco's doing the drafting. Jaquiski Tartt is entrenched as the starter in the box, but Jimmie Ward is in a contract year and Tarvarius Moore hasn't been consistent as a single-high safety. The 49ers may elect to go the more expected path in LSU's Grant Delpit, who can win from the rooftop, but Davis is likely going to win the combine, so his stock is gonna rise to this spot in a couple of weeks.

"Richard Sherman is still proving himself as one of the league's most dominant corners, but finding a young cover man to groom behind him should be a priority. Henderson has all the tools to quickly develop into a quality starter, something the 49ers could use across the field from Sherman sooner than later."

"Kyle Shanahan's system relies on having athletic offensive linemen capable of executing a diverse skillset, and Jackson certainly qualifies as such. There's no telling how much longer 35-year-old left tackle Joe Staley will be at the top of his game, so Jackson can start inside at guard in the meantime."

"Deebo Samuel was a perfect fit for the 49ers and Shenault would be another home run for Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch. The 6-foot-2 receiver has strong hands and is explosive after the catch. He's got a big body and can play outside or in the slot. Shanahan would be able to scheme up some disgusting stuff with Shenault in the fold."

"Although Richard Sherman has revived his career with the 49ers, San Francisco's talent at cornerback beyond him is lackluster. Fulton is an aggressive corner who will come up and play the run and can stick with physical receivers on the outside."

Ben Garland and Mike Person performed above expectations in 2019, but both turn 32 years old this offseason and the 49ers could look to get younger and healthier on the interior. Ruiz is an athletic mover with experience at both center and guard."
