Tennessee (9-7) at New England (12-4)

7:15 p.m. (CT) Saturday | Gillette Stadium | CBS

Outlook: Tennessee has won five of seven games, including the regular-season finale against Houston, to secure the sixth and final playoff spot in the AFC. New England suffered a surprising last-second loss to Miami in Week 17 to fall from the No. 2 spot to the third seed and miss out on a first-round bye. The teams last met in the playoffs in January of 2018, when the Patriots cruised to a 35-14 win at home.

Titans Notes

Titans Head Coach Mike Vrabel spent 2001-2008 as a linebacker with the Patriots, and won three Super Bowls with the franchise. He is in his second season at the helm for Tennessee.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill went 7-3 after taking over as the starter. He threw for 2,742 yards with 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions to help lead the Titans to the playoffs.

Patriots Notes

This season marks the first since 2009 that the Patriots did not earn a first-round bye in the postseason. All six of New England’s Super Bowl titles came after a first-round bye.

Saturday will be Tom Brady’s 41st career playoff game. He is 30-10, and has thrown for 11,179 yards with 73 touchdowns and 34 interceptions in the postseason.
