The San Francisco 49ers announced on Tuesday that they have re-signed restricted free agent RB Raheem Mostert to a three-year deal and signed P Justin Vogel to a one-year deal.

Mostert (5-10, 197) appeared in each of the team’s first nine games of the 2018 season and registered 34 carries for 261 yards and one touchdown while adding six receptions for 25 yards. Mostert also tied for the team lead with seven tackles on special teams. He was placed on the Injured Reserve List on November 2, 2018. Throughout his four-year career, he has appeared in 34 games and registered 41 carries for 297 yards (7.2 average) and one touchdown to go along with 16 tackles on special teams.

A 26-year-old native of Daytona Beach, FL, Mostert attended Purdue University where he appeared in 44 career games, spending time at both wide receiver and running back. He finished his career with 759 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 136 carries and caught 19 passes for 122 yards. He also set school record for total kickoff return yards (2,289) on 88 career returns. As a freshman in 2011, he led the NCAA FBS in kickoff return average (33.5 yards), including four returns of 71 yards or more.

Vogel (6-5, 220) originally entered the NFL after signing with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted rookie free agent on May 5, 2017. He appeared in all 16 games as a rookie and punted 71 times for 3,155 yards (44.4 average), posted a 41.6 net average and had 19 punts downed inside the 20-yard line. A 2018 Pro Bowl alternate, his 41.6 net punting average ranked seventh in the NFL and was the highest by a Packers punter since 1976, while his two touchbacks on the season were the fewest by a Green Bay punter with at least 70 punts. Vogel was waived by Green Bay on May 4, 2018 and was later claimed off of waivers by the Cleveland Browns on May 7, 2018. After spending training camp with Cleveland, he was waived on September 1, 2018.

A 25-year-old native of Tampa, FL, Vogel attended the University of Miami where he played in 39 games and registered 183 punts for 7,876 yards, a 43.0 average and had 67 punts inside the 20. As a senior in 2016, he appeared in 13 games and registered 64 punts for 2,803 yards and a career-high 43.8 gross average, which ranked second in the ACC.
