The San Francisco 49ers announced on Wednesday they have signed DL Damontre Moore to a one-year deal. In order to make room on the roster, the team placed DL Ronald Blair III on the Injured Reserve List.


Moore (6-4, 260) was originally drafted by the New York Giants in the third round (81st overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. Throughout his six-year career with the Giants (2013-15), Miami Dolphins (2015), Seattle Seahawks (2016), Dallas Cowboys (2017) and Oakland Raiders (2018), he has appeared in 54 games and registered 63 tackles, 10.0 sacks, four passes defensed and two forced fumbles. He originally signed with the 49ers on April 5, 2019, was waived by the team on May 16, later re-signed by San Francisco on July 24 and released on August 31.


In 2018, he was signed by the Raiders on December 4, 2018, appeared in two games with the team and registered one tackle prior to being waived on December 24, 2018. He later signed with the San Diego Fleet of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) where he recorded 22 tackles, 7.0 sacks and one fumble recovery.


A 27-year-old native of Rowlett, TX, Moore attended Texas A&M University (2010-12), where he appeared in 38 games (23 starts) and registered 197 tackles, 26.5 sacks, 45 tackles for a loss, eight forced fumbles and one interception.


Moore will wear number 61.


Blair III (6-4, 270) appeared in each of the team’s nine games this season and registered 21 tackles, 3.0 sacks and the first fumble recovery of his career.
