Broncos agree to terms with seven college free agents

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — In the wake of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Broncos added more playmakers to their roster Sunday as they agreed to terms with seven college free agents.


Western Michigan RB LeVante Bellamy, Texas Tech S Douglas Coleman III, Vanderbilt QB Riley Neal, Wake Forest WR Kendall Hinton, Tartleton State WR Zimari Manning, Central Arkansas T Hunter Watts and Wake Forest DB Essang Bassey all agreed to join the Broncos.


Bellamy, a 5-foot-9, 190-pound player, recorded 3,720 rushing yards and 35 rushing touchdowns during his career.


Coleman, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound player, was third in the nation with eight picks as a senior.


Neal, a 6-foot-6, 225-pound player, completed 57.8 percent of his passes for 1,585 yards and nine touchdowns in 2019. He spent the previous four years at Ball State.


Hinton, a 6-foot, 195-pound player, caught 73 passes for 1,001 yards and four touchdowns in 2019 after starting his career at quarterback.


Manning, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound player, caught 68 passes for 1,462 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior.


Watts, a 6-foot-8, 320-pound player, appeared in 12 games as a senior and was a first-team all-conference player.


Bassey, a 5-foot-10, 190-pound player, was considered one of the top undrafted players available and recorded five career interceptions with 45 passes defensed at Wake Forest.


The Broncos have a history of undrafted players finding success, as an undrafted rookie has made the team's initial 53-man roster in 15 of the last 16 seasons. Outside linebacker Malik Reed and linebacker Josh Watson made the Broncos' initial roster in 2019.


Denver made 10 selections in the 2020 NFL Draft.
