Broncos’ tight end Jake Butt, recovered from third ACL tear, makes preseason debut: “I’ve turned the corner” (Kyle Fredrickson, The Denver Post)

Butt said he “felt good” on 11 snaps played with two receptions for 17 yards. He took on blockers, split out as a wide receiver on some plays and showcased quick feet in route running, albeit in a small sample size.

Ten takeaways from Broncos’ 10-6 preseason loss to Rams (Ryan O’Halloran, The Denver Post)

Seventeen offensive players had at least 20 snaps. Fourteen defensive players had at least 30 snaps.

Malik Reed could be the latest undrafted rookie success for Broncos (Jeff Legwold, ESPN)

For 14 of the previous 15 years, the Denver Broncos have exited the preseason with at least one undrafted rookie on the 53-man roster. The list includes players with Super Bowl rings, Pro Bowl appearances and one guy -- Wesley Woodyard -- who is set to enter his 12th NFL season.

Broncos’ OL Elijah Wilkinson ready if called upon to fill Ron Leary’s absence (Kyle Fredrickson, The Denver Post)

Undrafted from UMass and entering his third year in Denver, Wilkinson started at right guard in Saturday night’s preseason loss at the Rams and played into the third quarter. It’s the same spot Wilkinson filled last year over seven games when starter Ron Leary suffered a torn ACL. With lingering knee issues now holding Leary out of preseason play, the likelihood Wilkinson starts at right guard in 2019 continues to rise.
