Broncos CB De’Vante Bausby recounts neck injury that left him without feeling for 30 minutes (Ryan O’Halloran, The Denver Post)

His neck brace sitting next to his locker stall on Tuesday, Broncos cornerback De’Vante Bausby recounted his injury during Sunday’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Given their desperate dilemma at cornerback, the Broncos did pick up such an experienced cornerback as Coty Sensabaugh on Tuesday.

The Broncos signed Sensabaugh, who had played at least 13 games in his previous seven NFL seasons, to take the place of cornerback De’Vante Bausby, who was placed on injured reserve with the neck injury he suffered Sunday.

In the days leading up to the Denver Broncos' first win of the season Sunday, the team talked about perseverance, about "that place where you keep pushing through," as linebacker Von Miller put it.

All they really had to do was look around the locker room.

When the dust settled after the Broncos’ 20-13 win over the Chargers, the Broncos’ locker room was not exactly jubilant.

Yes, they had broken their four-game skid and did so on the road against a division rival that was a playoff team a year ago, but after a brief celebration as President of Football Operations/General Manager John Elway gave the game ball to Head Coach Vic Fangio for his first win, it felt like the team had already begun to turn the page to the next game.
