ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have placed wide receiver Tim Patrick on injured reserve after he suffered a hand injury against the Raiders on Monday.

Denver signed wide receiver River Cracraft in a corresponding roster move.

Patrick could potentially return this season, as the Broncos can designate two players to return to the active roster from injured reserve.

Patrick would be eligible to practice after six weeks and return to game action after eight weeks.

“Yeah, we have a few of them on that list right now,” Head Coach Vic Fangio said Wednesday. “Maybe we’ll petition the league to be able to bring back more than two.”

Cracraft, who played in eight games for the Broncos in 2018, was waived in early September.

The second-year player largely served as a punt returner for the team when active. He will wear No. 12 with the Broncos.
