The Cardinals brought 28 tryout players in for their rookie minicamp, in an effort to fill out the roster for the three days of practice -- although they were also looking for someone to stick around.

The Cardinals signed a pair of tryout players over the weekend, adding safety Tyler Sigler and running back Dontae Strickland. To make room, the team cut a pair of undrafted rookies they had signed last week, cornerback Ryan Pulley and tight end Jerome Washington.

Sigler, 6-foot-1 and 216 pounds out of Wheaton College, also took part as a tryout player in the previous rookie minicamp of the New York Giants. He had 141 tackles, eight for loss, with eight interceptions and a sack in his college career.

Strickland, 5-11 and 204 pounds out of Syracuse, rushed for 1,717 yards and 15 touchdowns in his college career, averaging four yards a carry.

The Cardinals resumed Phase Two work Monday with veterans joining the rookies.
