Tay Gowan had just tweeted about how he never gave up on his NFL dream.


Now he officially got the paycheck to prove dreams come true.


"I'm still having to process it," Gowan said. "I've been that kid since I was 5 years old wanting to go to the NFL. I just signed my first contract -- not my last."


The Cardinals signed both their sixth-round picks -- outside linebacker Victor Dimukeje and cornerback Gowan -- to four-year contracts Tuesday, as they move closer to getting the entire draft class under contract. The Cardinals are down to just two draftees unsigned -- first-round linebacker Zaven Collins and second-round receiver Rondale Moore.


Dimukeje, with a hint of veteran Markus Golden's game, is a player the Cardinals hope will emerge as a key special teamer and also some edge rushing depth during his rookie season.


"I feel like part of the team but there's a lot of work to do," Dimukeje said. "It's no joke playing in the NFL and for the Arizona Cardinals. I'm still trying to stamp myself and proving myself part of the team."


Gowan is also intriguing as a rookie.
