INDIANAPOLIS — Center Josh Andrews, who spent the last two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, today agreed to terns to sign a free agent deal with the New York Jets, agent Brett Tessler announced.

Andrews, 28, played in parts of nine games with the Colts over the past two seasons at both center and guard.

He played 61 offensive and five special teams snaps in 2019; his most action came Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, when he logged 49 offensive snaps filling in at center for an injured Ryan Kelly.

With Andrews' departure, the Colts will continue to work to find the right depth along their offensive line. While all five starters up front — Anthony Castonzo (left tackle), Quenton Nelson (left guard), Kelly (center), Mark Glowinski (right guard) and Braden Smith (right tackle) — are set to return in 2020 for a third straight season, the backup center job appears to be up for grabs.

Javon Patterson, who was selected in the seventh round of last year's NFL Draft, suffered a season-ending ACL injury last offseason but could very well be in the running for that spot.

Other interior offensive linemen competing for spots on the 53-man roster this offseason for the Colts currently include Le'Raven Clark, Jake Eldrenkamp and Chaz Green.
