» Campbell suffered a fractured hand Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, will miss his third straight game. After undergoing surgery, Campbell said this past week that he hopes to return to the lineup by December, but this week he was able to return to the practice field as an estimated limited participant in the Colts’ walkthrough. The speedy rookie this season has played in six games with two starts, and has 15 receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown, as well as four rushing attempts for 34 yards. With Campbell out once again against the Texans, then look for Zach Pascal, Marcus Johnson, Chester Rogers and Ashton Dulin to continue getting added snaps at wide receiver; the Colts also have Chad Williams on their practice squad if needed.

» Mack suffered a fractured hand during the third quarter of the Colts’ win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, an injury that required surgery on Monday, according to Reich, who didn’t have an immediate timetable for the running back’s return. At the time of his injury, Mack had moved into fifth place in the NFL in rushing at 862 yards; he has 192 carries and four touchdowns in all. With Mack out, the Colts will turn to Nyheim Hines, Jonathan Williams and Jordan Wilkins on Thursday against the Texans; the team also has running back Darius Jackson on its practice squad if needed.

» Taylor suffered an ankle injury Sunday in the Colts’ victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, and was estimated to be a non-participant in the team’s walkthrough on Monday and Tuesday. He had an active day prior to his injury on Sunday; in just 15 defensive snaps, Taylor logged a career-high five tackles. On the year, the undrafted rookie out of Kansas has seven tackles and one pass defensed in five games played. With Taylor out on Thursday, look for Marvell Tell III, Quincy Wilson or, depending on his health status, Rock Ya-Sin to possibly get more snaps at cornerback.

» Willis started feeling concussion-like symptoms after Sunday’s victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Reich said, and was subsequently placed in the league’s concussion protocol, meaning it wouldn’t be possible for him to gain clearance by kickoff Thursday night against the Texans. Willis in recent weeks has taken over as the Colts’ starting strong safety and has excelled; his 44 total tackles ranks seventh among all rookies. He also has two tackles for loss and one pass defensed on the year. Those who could see added snaps in Willis’ place at safety opposite starter Malik Hooker are Clayton Geathers, Rolan Milligan and, depending on his injury status, George Odum.
