Joseph played the first nine games of the season, racking up sacks in games against Atlanta, Green Bay and Washington. He then missed back-to-back games at Dallas and against Denver with a knee injury.

He returned in Week 13 against Seattle, and then showed up in a big way Sunday against Detroit.

Joseph signed with the Vikings as a free agent before the 2014 season and was dominant at times during the 2015 season. He made back-to-back Pro Bowls in 2016 and 2017, but dealt with injuries in 2018.

Hasan noted that when healthy, Joseph is among the most disruptive interior defensive linemen in the NFL. That was certainly the case Sunday.

Hasan wrote:

There was a marked drop-off in 2015 when Joseph was forced to miss games, and it seemed like we’d see that once more, even with the welcome arrival of Armon Watts onto the scene. Now, it seems like the Vikings can continue to be a complete team on defense.

According to coaches’ stats, Joseph has 50 total tackles in 2019, along with six tackles for loss and a trio of sacks. He has also forced a fumble.
