The Lead

Big things are on the horizon for Jerry Jeudy.

At least, that's what Bleacher Report's Gary Davenport believes — and we're inclined to agree with him.

In a recent article predicting the breakout player for each NFL team, Davenport said he believed the 15th-overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft will take a step forward in Year 2.

"Jeudy's second season sets up well for improved production and his first 1,000-yard campaign," Davenport wrote.

Jeudy's first season in Denver was impressive in its own right. Despite Courtland Sutton missing nearly the entire season due to injury, Jeudy caught 52 passes for 856 yards and three touchdowns. He posted a pair of 100-yard games, and dominated in the season finale with 140 yards and a touchdown.

Still, there's room to be even better. Sutton's return should diminish the amount of attention defenses can place on the Alabama player, and it's likely that his catch-to-target ratio should improve. A season ago, less than half of the targets to Jeudy resulted in catches.

If Jeudy progresses the way Davenport and all of Broncos Country expects, Denver could have one of the best receiving duos in the league.
