Following that protest and so many from around the country, NFL Network's MJ Acosta described why the moment proved so important. "He stood proudly at a Black Lives Matter protest in Denver along with many of his Broncos teammates," Acosta said. "[Justin] Simmons' statement, though, on how he stood there not just as an NFL player but as a black man is so important. The Broncos players, along with players all over the league, continue to use their platform and their voices to show that this movement, this conversation is far from over."

Jeff Legwold, picking for the Broncos, built a four-man squad of QB Drew Lock, TE Travis Kelce, Isaiah Simmons and Courtland Sutton. Meanwhile, Von Miller ended up on the Raiders, Bradley Chubb landed on the Jets and the Bears picked up Jerry Jeudy to pair with QB Jimmy Garoppolo. … I can't say I'm fond of the mental image of Miller on the Raiders.
