The Lead

It's getting to be that time of year.

In the coming months, multiple outlets will post their lists of top 100 NFL players — and that effort is headlined by NFL Network's Top 100 list.

This week, though, we got a look at CBS Sports' Pete Prisco's list of the best NFL talent, and two Broncos made the cut.

Von Miller, an eight-time Pro Bowler, was the top-ranked Bronco. He came in at No. 21, and Prisco said he has the talent to jump back up in next year's list.

Justin Simmons, meanwhile, came in at No. 78 for his skill as a "young, rangy safety."

And while no other Broncos cracked Prisco's list, both Courtland Sutton and Alexander Johnson were listed among the players who just missed the cut.

If the Broncos' young talent pans out this year, it's safe to see we'll see more of Denver's players on next year's list. That won't stop us, though, from eagerly checking the NFL's official list when it comes out — and all of the other lists like it.
