The Green Bay Packers are hosting a “Battle of the Badges” flag football tournament between six teams representing Wisconsin public safety departments on Saturday, July 20, at the football field at Titletown.

The tournament is aimed at building camaraderie between local police and fire departments and honoring their service to the community. The winning department also will receive a $3,000 donation from the Packers and the runner-up will receive a $2,000 donation.

Fans are invited to attend the tournament, which begins at 10:30 a.m. with matchups between the Appleton Fire Department and Brown County Sheriff’s Department on the east side of the field, and De Pere Fire Rescue Department and Green Bay Police Department on the west side of the field. Teams with an opening round bye are the Milwaukee Police Department and Green Bay Metro Fire Department.

Round-robin pool play will finish at 12:15 p.m., with the single elimination tournament beginning at 12:40 p.m.

Bleachers will be available for fans, and Titletown’s tables and chairs will be available for use. No carry-in furniture or folding chairs are permitted. Fans are reminded to dress for the weather, and are welcome to bring umbrellas.
