After going undrafted out of Michigan last year, Bushell-Beatty signed with Washington but was waived shortly after signing with the club. He signed with the Cowboys in early August during training camp, but did not make Dallas' 53-man roster at the start of the regular season.

Bushell-Beatty then went to the XFL, initially selected by the St. Louis Battlehawks during the offensive linemen draft. He was traded to the Houston Roughnecks in January, where he played alongside now-Panthers quarterback P.J. Walker.

In college, Bushell-Beatty was a two-year starter at right tackle for the Wolverines, becoming an All-Big Ten honorable mention in 2018. In all, he played in 33 games as either a special teams contributor or offensive lineman with 18 starts — 17 at right tackle and one at left tackle.
