The Bears on Monday signed linebacker Austin Calitro. Calitro, 27, has appeared in 42 NFL games with nine starts over three seasons with the Seahawks (2018), Jaguars (2019) and Broncos (2020).

Calitro entered the NFL in 2017 with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Villanova. The 6-foot, 240-pounder also spent time with the 49ers, Seahawks and Browns from 2017-18, but didn't appear in an NFL regular-season game until his second stint with the Seahawks in 2018. Calitro played in all 16 games in 2018, starting five contests and recording 45 tackles, three tackles-for-loss and 0.5 sacks.

The Jaguars acquired Calitro off waivers from the Seahawks prior to the 2019 season. In 13 contests with Jacksonville, he started four games and registered 40 tackles, four tackles-for-loss and one sack.

Calitro was then claimed off waivers by the Bengals on April 28, 2020 before being traded to the Broncos just before the start of the 2020 season. In 13 appearances with Denver, he recorded three tackles.

To create room on the roster for Calitro, the Bears released WR Reggie Davis. Davis spent the last two training camps with the Bears and spent the 2020 season on the team's practice squad.
