Last season Amukamara started 15 games for the second straight year, compiling 53 tackles, 10 pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery for a defense that ranked fourth in the NFL in points allowed (18.6 per game) and eighth in total yards (324.1).


Prior to joining the Bears in 2017, Amukamara spent his first six NFL seasons with the Giants (2011-15) and Jaguars (2016).


Gabriel, who turned 29 on Monday, spent the past two seasons with the Bears, playing in 25 games with 18 starts and catching 96 passes for 1,041 yards and six touchdowns.


In his first season with the Bears in 2018, Gabriel had 67 receptions for 688 yards and two TDs while playing in all 16 games with 11 starts. Last year he missed the final five contests after sustaining his second concussion of the season and finished the year with 29 catches for 353 yards and four TDs.


Prior to signing with the Bears, Gabriel spent his first four NFL seasons with the Browns (2014-15) and Falcons (2016-17).
