"Thank you guys very much," Trubisky said via Zoom in accepting the award. "It's an honor. Just looking at the guys' names on the plaque, and specifically guys who I've played with, Zach Miller, Prince Amukamara and Allen Robinson are all really good friends of mine, people who I hold in very high regard. So just to have my name next to theirs, it means a lot to me. I really appreciate it, so thank you guys."

On the field this year, Trubisky has sparked an offensive resurgence since being reinstalled as the Bears' starting quarterback during the bye week. In five games, the offense has scored 19 touchdowns and averaged 33.0 points and 387.4 yards. In the previous seven contests, the unit mustered nine TDs and averaged 16.7 points and 272.1 yards. During that span, Trubisky has passed for 1,243 yards with 10 touchdowns, four interceptions and a 99.3 passer rating.

Robinson finished second in this year's voting for the Bears Good Guy Award, followed by media relations assistant Eric Szczepinski, who coordinates video calls and assists reporters who attend the portion of practice that's open to the media. Safety Tashaun Gipson Sr. and linebacker Roquan Smith tied for fourth, followed by defensive tackle Akiem Hicks, cornerback Jaylon Johnson, quarterback Nick Foles and coach Matt Nagy.
