Schult also ranked third in the league with 11 tackles for loss/no gain and led the AAF with 49 quarterback pressures.

Originally from Tripoli, Iowa, which is about three hours southeast of the Twin Cities, Schult played collegiately at Northern Iowa. Schult won the Buck Buchanan Award as the top defender in FCS and was named Missouri Valley Football Conference Defensive Player of the Year following the 2016 season in which he led FCS with 17 sacks as a senior. Schult tallied a sack in 10 of the 11 contests and totaled 24 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, a blocked kick and safety that season.

Schult joined the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted rookie in 2017 and recorded 11 tackles and 1.5 sacks that preseason before he was released. He participated in a rookie minicamp with Carolina in May 2018 but was released by the Panthers last August.
