As it turns out, Xavier Woods had more to do with it than the black cat.
The Cowboys safety was named NFC defensive player of the week, for his big plays in Dallas’ comeback win over the Giants Monday.
Woods had an interception of Daniel Jones, and forced a fumble.
The third-year safety has a pair of picks this year, and was part of a defense that landed on its feet after another slow start.
